Ceva Logistics acquires Transitalia to consolidate position in publishing logistic

With the acquisition of the Transitalia-company the Italian affiliate of Ceva Logistics consolidates its position as leading provider of logistics services for the publishing industry in Italy. The transaction is yet subject to the approval by the competition authority in Rome, and is planned to become effective by December 1, 2008. Transitalia renders transportation and logistics services for clients from the printing and publishing sector and generates an annual turnover of around EUR 20 million.
According to its own statements Ceva Logistics is the leading provider of logistic services in the books sector in Italy. Its market share is said to be 70 percent, while the market comprises about 100 million books per year.
